Maren had her first game on Saturday. After she had gotten dressed I couldn't resist taking her picture. She reminded me of the kids from the movie "Bad News Bears". She just cracked me up. T-ball in her league is extremely boring to watch, I can't even fathom how the kids can stand there while each player comes up to bat. There are no outs, each kid hits each inning and takes a base. There are cute moments like when the tiny boy goes up to bat and the helmet is so big he looks like the mushroom guy from Mario. It's basically watching the kid in the pitchers spot throw the ball to first then back to the catcher. The balls rarely pass the pitcher so all the other kids are left standing around the bases, playing in the dirt. I know these are one of the necessary evils we as parents must all face. It doesn't help that she's the third child to play T-ball and I'm feeling all the familiar dislikes coming in. But, it's really for Maren, she loved playing and when I asked her what her favorite part was she said of course, "snack". I keep looking forward to next year where we'll be in a different league where T-ball there has outs. Until then, I know what I'm doing on my Saturday mornings, I'm watching her play in the dirt, having the time of her life.

Hey! I saw your blog on Bethany's...I can't believe how old your kids are!!! Looks like you're having fun! :)
HA HA HAHAHAHA! That picture of Maren cracked me up. A little Jenny-pooh, she is! Soooo cute! HA! You know you'd be bored any other way...and good luck with the T-Ball frustrations. HA! I'll probably be going through something similar next year. Christian will be 3 in September! AAH!
